Hotels in Rome, Italy

06/02/2012 17:40 Rome, the Eternal City, a place full of history and culture. Everywhere you step you are walking through some point in the timeline of the last 2500 years. It is a city to be lived and loved by everyone through it's beautiful architecture, food, art and romance. Regardless of your tourist preferences, certain sights in Rome should not be missed. The most popular, or at least recognizable, sights are probably The Coliseum and the Vatican. You can join one of the hourly tours hosted by guides dressed as Gladiators, or tour on your own.

Coliseum Area is probably one of the most common areas for tourists to seek out a rental apartment in Rome. Booking an apartment here, will have guests staying in proximity to popular attractions like the Coliseum, the Roman Forum and other important ancient ruins, which makes it possible for one to cut down on transport costs. This area also has plenty of apartments on rent to cater to different budgets; several shopping boutiques are also available in the area.

There is a large variety of short term rental Rome apartments available, both for visitors to Rome on vacation and to businesspersons attending exhibitions or conferences at one of the conference centres in Rome. However, why should these people opt for rented accommodation rather than simply book a hotel room? Price is a major reason, and although an apartment may be more expensive for a single person than a hotel room, it will certainly save money for a party sharing. There is also a lot more room in an apartment. Hotels are basically sleeping places, with lip service normally paid to the living space. Not so with short term rental Rome apartments.
